Welcome to the first edition of my campfire cooking series. If you don’t know by now, 2 of my biggest loves in this life, is camping outdoors and cooking/eating. Combining the two together a few years ago kinda broke my brain because i was like wait, as if i’ve never?!?!
the primal experience of building a fire, well enough to sustain hours of cooking over and then using your hands and intuitive culinary skills to make yourself nourishing meals is something that i’ll never be able to buy in a city, you know?
so first up is my 2 hour lamb shanks, cooked over fire, served on a bed of mash. if you’re more of a visual learner and wanna hear me ramble on, you can watch the video version here.
Ingredients:
2-3 shanks
olive oil
3 garlic cloves minced
3 shallots diced
