Admittedly, I’m not a big baker. I don’t love the restrictions on ingredients and quantities, it just feels so rigid and like… don’t tell me what to do. However, the joy and satisfaction I get when making something from scratch, entirely from staple items I have in my pantry, and not needing to go out and buy a single ingredient, gets me going.
I feel like some house-on-the-prairie-stay-at-home-tend-to-the-garden-free-range-chickens-in-the-yard-always-pickling-in-jars kinda girlie. Ya know? Anyway, this is my banana bread recipe using all pantry staples that (should) live in your cupboard! It’s moist, it’s fluffy, it’s fucking good and it’s worth sharing with your neighbours.
